Patience

This "lecture" is going to be about patience, which is key for every improvement you're as a Jedi trying to do.

"But why is patience so important? Everyone speaks of "patience", but that is it to be patient? Is it just waiting? you may ask.

Let's have some example:
You are prepaing for building a house. You probably start with plans and descriptions, right? You probably won't start without plans, I'm sure. When you have a plans, you can finally build the basics of the house. BUT - look, what can happen, if you want to be quickly done with the building and use it.
Imagine, that you have build the basics of the house. You are proud of it, but everyone tries to tell you that you should check your work, because it's not as good as it should be. You, of course believe that everything is okay, because you believe in your cause and have high self-confidence in your skills. "So why to wait longer when my work can be done early and I can have a nice house for me?"

So, after these you will continue with building your house. Everything seems to be all right, but...
One day you wake up with thought you will show your nice house to your parents, for example. So you will in hurry visit your parents and later, in the efternoon, you take them to the place where you built your house. "What house?", your parents may be asking at this moment. After that question you look at place where was your house. You can see, how it's broken, the whole building is down and your whole work is gone. You can't believe it, but then, later, you were reminded of advices that you should check the basics of the house. But it's too late for regretting, my friend. You will have to build your house from the beginning, but this time, I guess you will be more careful and more patient with every thing, which is related to house building, right?

So, this was hypothetical story. Did you understand it? Let's have some explanation of this story and how it's applied in your everyday life.

Everytime, when you decide for something (any problem you can have, or everything you do), look at your decision. You don't need to hurry anywhere, so look again at your decisions. Ask yourself these questions, for example:

"Why am I doing this?

Will this solution help me?

Can I offend somebody with this decision?

Can I make this better?

Did I start from the right point?"

Only when you are trully decided you've tried everything and you are sure that this is the best solution of the problem, do it. No need to haste, I say it again and again. Sometimes it's too late to regret something, believe me.

Or when in a school, you are always beginning from the basics, later you pass basics, you can study further. Can you imagine what would happen when you don't have basics at school? You probably won't be able to understand next lectures, especially when it's some special subject.
The same here, when you try to improve yourself, as a Jedi. You need to begin from the start, but beware, it's individual thing, because everyone here has different knowledge and different area of improvement. And also, different needs, which every Jedi prefers for himself/herself. So first find your way and only then go further. Be aware what you want to improve and be patient.

I also think you have reply for question, if "patience" is just waiting or if it is more than to be only waiting. For me, patience isn't about waiting. Patience is about going further, but your steps needs to be careful, considerating things, people and everything around you.
How I call "waiting"? Waiting is only stagnation, it's not about patience. Patience leads you toward your goals, but with baby steps, not with haste. Everything, really everything needs its time...

Until then may the Force be with you...
