Jaida Morana |
Name: Jaida
Surname: Morana
Age: 19

Eyes: Grey blue
Build(weight): Medium build (45 kg/148 lb)
Race: Human
Homeworld: Coruscant
Status: Padawan Learner/Apprentice
Like other Padawans, Jaida was raised in the Jedi order from infancy.
She had no rememberance of her birth family. The Jedi in all the various
ways were her family.
Jaida had shown an aptitude for thinking her way out of proglems at
an early age. She was more impulsive and tended to not think far enough
ahead in her actions.
She is more sensitive to the Living force and the hearn and now essence
of all living things. It has given her a sensitivity to beings and creatures
she meets, which is why she is good at bluffing and bartering and is
adept with languages.
Jaida has recently finished constructing her lightsaber housing but
still needs to find a crystal. She would prefer one that would give
her weapon a blue or white blade, but if the Force wishes her to have
any other color, she will not fight it. At thirteen she was chosen by
Coranna Filoon as her Apprentice.
They had been together for only six years, but had grown in their trust
and friendship as if they had known each other all their lives. The
Force worked through both of them in order that they would be together
and they both knew it. But Jaida always felt there was something missing
from their bond, something intangible that she couldn't quite figure
out. It has bothered Jaida, since she is usually very astute in the
connection of the Force with people around her.
Coranna was a dark skinned woman, in her mid thirties with black lustrous
hair usually caught up in intricate braidings. Where Jaida was blonde
with light blue grey eyes, Coranna was dark on dark with rich brown
eyes. They had aquired the nicknames of ‘Night and Day’,
and their personalities were the mirror of the each other. Coranna was
contemplative, and tended to be more introspective, Jaida was lighthearted,
energetic and cheerful. They both had taught each other quite a bit
over the years. Coranna learned to embrace humor and think outside herself
more, and Jaida had learned to slow down and be more mindful. But she
has never lost her sense of humor and enthusiasm for learning.
They worked well together when they had taken on some missions as well.
Despite Jaida’s short stature, even at her age, she had covered
Coranna well and the other had given her Padawan the advantage of reach
with her nearly two meter tall frame.
Jaida had adapted a style of fighting that included more jumps, much
like Master Yoda. Every time Jaida thought about the one time she had
been priveleged to see Master Yoda fight, she was heartened about overcoming
her deficiency as she saw it.
Jaida was now convinced her parents were either from a heavy world or
some other genetic stock that was shorter than average. Yoda had told
her once, “Size matters not. A container you are not, to be filled
with the Force. A conduit, for the Force to flow through.”
Not until recent events, did those words have special
meaning for her.
What has brought her to the academy is for another
page.
